The much-anticipated AUSTROS finalists have been announced with the top five set to battle it out for the top gong tomorrow (18 October 2022) after a grueling day of heats today (17 October 2022).
The fab five finalists for AUSTROS 2022 that will compete for the championship title in order of sale will be:
Luke Banitsiotis – Victoria
Clarence White – New South Wales
Robert Tulp – New Zealand
Stuart Ritchie – New South Wales
Conor Patton – New Zealand
REIA President, Mr Hayden Groves said the event featured Australia and New Zealand’s top auctioneers bringing together high-profile competitors to compete for the industry’s most coveted auctioneering award.
Chief Judge Jesse Davidson said it was an incredible event and set of heats, the highest quality of auctioneers we’ve ever seen at an AUSTROS.
“Five finalists have been crowned Australia and New Zealand’s finest auctioneers and are through to the finals with a bidding script that incredibly difficult, but all 14 finalists saw the hammer fall.”
A total of 14 auctioneers across the two countries made it to the competition.
The Finals will kick off at midday tomorrow at Randwick Racecourse or can be viewed online via https://auctionslive.com/2022-australasian-auctioneering-championships.
The AUSTROS 2022 champion will be announced at a Gala Dinner to be held at the Taronga Zoo tomorrow evening (18 October 2022).
Mr Groves thanked the AUSTROS key sponsors and supporters.
“Showcasing our amazing auctioneering talent is not possible without our wonderful host, the REINSW, and of course our fantastic sponsors AuctionsLive, Commonwealth Bank, Harcourts, Reality Assist and REI Super.”
Let the battle begin.
