Furthering the best practice and industry excellence of Australia’s real estate agents is a core part of the Real Estate Institute of Australia’s mandate.
There are three pillars to our Best Practise and Industry Excellence mandate: Conduct, Award and Accredit.
Conduct
REIA administers the REIA National Principles of Conduct. These underpin all State and Territory Institute members training programs, codes of conduct, and the REIA awards and accreditation programs.

Award
REIA, together with our State and Territory Real Estate Institutes, host two marquee events each year: The REIA National Awards for Excellence (NAFE) and the Australasian Auctioneering Championship (AUSTROS) in partnership with the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand.
The REIA NAFE and AUSTROS will be held from 13 – 15 May 2025 in Adelaide, South Australia hosted by the Real Estate Institute of South Australia.
Members of State and Territory Institutes are eligible to compete for a finalist position at NAFE and competitor position at AUSTROS. Contact your local REI to enquire about membership.

Accredit
To recognise outstanding industry service and ensure a future pipeline of leaders, REIA administers an Associate and Fellowship program.
