Furthering the best practice and industry excellence of Australia’s real estate agents is a core part of the Real Estate Institute of Australia’s mandate.

There are three pillars to our Best Practise and Industry Excellence mandate: Conduct, Award and Accredit.


REIA administers the REIA National Principles of Conduct.  These underpin all State and Territory Institute members training programs, codes of conduct, and the REIA awards and accreditation programs.

As part of our commitment to recognizing practitioners exceeding industry excellence and best practice, REIA through our member Institute networks hosts two flagship events:

  1. The REIA National Awards for Excellence
  2. The Australasian Auctioneering Championship

Hall of Fame recognition is also awarded to NAFE and AUSTROS winners who take out three consecutive titles.


To recognize outstanding industry service and ensure a future pipeline of leaders, REIA administers an Associate and Fellowship program.
