March Quarter Results Point to Positive Outlook

Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) President, Ms Pamela Bennett says the March quarter REIA Real Estate Market Facts report released today shows a slight increase in the national weighted median house price compared to the previous quarter and could be a signal that the property market has bottomed out.

Ms Bennett has described the result as positive without being exceptional.

"We don't want to get too far ahead of ourselves as we're only talking about a very slight increase on the December quarter figures, but there is reason to be optimistic," Ms Bennett said.
