SAWASDEE! REIA PRESIDENT ATTENDS FIRST NATIONAL CONVENTION

May 16th,2022

Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) President, Hayden Groves will be at the First National Convention 2022 in Bangkok this week.

Mr Groves said more that over 400 principals and staff have made the journey from Australia and New Zealand to attend the Convention.

“The First National Convention provides their members with insight into current issues in the post-COVID world facing agents along with the opportunity to network and learn together.

“Held in Bangkok, First National members will be armed with cutting edge information on proptech, social media, the economy and future, the world of commercial real estate and how to run people-centered profitable businesses.”

Mr Groves said that First National have been valued Affiliate Members of REIA since 2003 and it was fitting that the Convention was timed with the Federal Election 2022.

“With their 300-strong office network of independent agents, First National were a critical part of REIA’s 2019 campaign that reached nearly 11 million Australians. This ultimately led to negative gearing receiving bi-partisan support this Federal Election and the Opposition walking back commitments to phase negative gearing out.”

Mr Groves said he was delighted to be able to engage with so many practitioners here in Bangkok.

“It is great to hear what matters most to agents from every state and territory in Australia and New Zealand on national real estate issues.

“Congratulations to First National CEO Ray Ellis and his national administration team on a fantastic event and leading the way to resuming international travel and events. And to First National members in attendance at Convention please come and introduce yourself and say Sawasdee!”

Mr Groves will address VIP Convention delegates this evening on REIA 2025: Advancing Australia’s Prosperity. Follow Mr Groves at the First National Convention via REIA’s Instagram.

REIA has also this week launched a new brand video ‘We are REIA’ which can be viewed here.
