The Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) is encouraged by the State and Territory Treasurers’ decision to discuss a range of tax reform proposals, including stamp duty.
Issues will be taken to their respective Cabinets before COAG meets in December, where tax reform will be on the agenda.
President of the Real Estate Institute of Australia, Ms Pamela Bennett says, “Stamp duty has long been identified as the most inefficient of all state taxes.”
